East Central Ontario Training Board (ECOTB) is a non-profit corporation. As a Local Training Board in Ontario, we make available skilled trades trainining, apprenticeship program, and job certification information. Our involvement with the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP), the Inter-Provincial Red Seal Program, and the Loans for Tools Program make us suited to assist with apprenticeship, certification, career, training and education concerns.

Involvement in apprenticeship, trade certification, and other career-oriented and life long education goals has occurred in the construction sector, motive power sector, industrial sector, and manufacturing sector.

Apprentices, journeypersons, journeymen, tradespeople can gain skills in skilled trades and become skilled workers in the trades sector where they can find employing building, repairing and maintaining. The skilled workers involvement in the workforce will empower them in the technological workplace to take advantage of new jobs and unfilled jobs in their career of choice.
